Our newest center, Lompoc Radiation Oncology Medical Center, part of the Coastal Radiation Oncology Medical Group makes world-class cancer treatment available to residents of Lompoc and surrounding communities.

The dedicated team of physicians, radiation therapist, physicists, dosimetrists, and the rest of our staff are committed to delivering individualized treatments with compassion and expertise. The Lompoc  treatment team offers a full range of advanced treatment options, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), and 3D Radiation Treatment Planning.

Dr. Williams was raised in a small town in Mississippi and graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a degree in civil engineering. He received his M.D. from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Williams completed an internal medicine internship at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. He completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of Southern California, serving as chief resident in the final year.

At the University of Southern California, Dr. Williams’ training was comprehensive and included a variety of radiotherapy techniques including image guided radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic ablative radiotherapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SABR/SBRT) with 4D-CT and respiratory management (including liver, lung, and spine), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) with Gamma Knife Perfexion and CyberKnife, and both high and low dose rate (HDR and LDR) brachytherapy. He opened two Phase I prospective clinical trials for which he was principal investigator, both exploring the psychology of the cancer patient, and how cancer treatments impact perception and memory.

Dr. Williams is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO).

Dr. Williams practices at Coastal Radiation Oncology Medical Group’s Lompoc Radiation Oncology Center in Lompoc, California and Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria, California.
