Dr. Chung is a dedicated radiation oncologist with a commitment to providing personalized and high-quality care. He was born and raised in Palo Alto, California. He later attended the University of Southern California where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Biology and additionally completed a Masters degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. Dr. Chung went on to receive his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He moved back to California to complete his residency in Radiation Oncology at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Chung treats a diverse range of cancers including breast, prostate, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal, brain, skin, and gynecological cancers. He has extensive experience in advanced radiation techniques including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy for prostate and gynecologic malignancies. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at various national and international conferences.

Dr. Chung’s approach to patient care blends the latest technology and treatments with a compassionate understanding of each patient’s individual needs. Outside of work, Dr. Chung enjoys spending his free time hiking, golfing, and exploring the outdoors. He is very excited to settle and build his roots in the Central Coast.
